Sensor display install (help needed)

Got two of these to be put into some acrylic so i can monitor the temps . The problem im thinking im going to have is with the sides of them where there is those latches that are attached to the cover on the back.

To get around that i was going to cut into the acrylic to accommodate for the points that stick out, but that might spoil the look , anyone got any suggestions ?

Heat it to mould into the acrylic with a heat gun? Is there a link to what your doing seems random?

Well i already have a jig saw that im gonna use for the hole to put them in, I think that idea might work. Cut the holes and then heat them to the point where i could slip them in without damaging the plastic too much.

Well i assume you can heat it enough to just slot the notches in? Good luck.

Thats a link to my pc so far ... not actually started to cutting yet , taking measurments before i start. Gonna post pics before i do

I know the pics on there are massive, that was before I figured out how to resize them from my phone.
