Hi all,

Can anyone provide any further advice on the issues we have been having below?

Daewoo Matiz went to the garage reporting P0133 (oxygen sensor circuit slow response)

The oxygen sensor was replaced with an OEM part but the issue remained although with the code P0131 (02 sensor low voltage) It was then replaced with an original Daewoo part which we had hoped resolved the issue as it never reappeared for a few weeks. Unfortunately though the light has come back on again reporting the original P0133 error.

As well as the above, the garage has cleaned every other sensor going on the car including MAF as well as rerouting the sensor wiring as they read that there could be a fault when going straight from A to B.

Does anyone have any ideas? Could the new sensor be faulty? The work is being done at a large garage so they are not cowboys but I think everyone now is starting to run out of ideas..

Any input would be appreciated!

Causes A code P0133 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
The oxygen sensor is faulty
The wiring to the sensor is broken / frayed
There is an exhaust leak
 
Check if your car has two O2 sensors, make sure they are not connected the wrong way i.e. the cables swapped around. It shouldn't be possible on most cars as the connectors are different. Or worse still, the possibility that the actual O2 sensors have been swapped around.
 
AFAIK this code refers to the pre-cat sensor(s), so a dodgy cat shouldn't affect it. The ECU isn't getting the response it's expects from the O2 sensor in relation to what the exhaust gasses should be like with regards to the amount of air & fuel which is being used by the engine.

Check for any exhaust leaks upstream of the oxygen sensor, and for vacuum leaks on the intake side.

BTW, "OEM" means Original Equipment Manufacturer, i.e. a genuine original part. Presumably you mean a third party/unbranded device was initially fitted, some of them can be of very poor quality.
