Sent home from CBT due to lack of instructors

Just wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else - CBT yesterday, which I booked about 3 weeks ago. 1 instructor, 4 students. Went through all the pre-road ride stuff, at which stage I was told that there wasn't going to be time to do 2 road rides, so I should go home and call the company and reschedule just the road ride portion.

I have done so, but it has meant having to take a half days holiday from work. The problem is that I have a new YBR being delivered to work on Wednesday, which I obviously need to be able to ride to get it home, so I have no choice but to either sacrifice the holiday time, or reschedule the delivery for well over a week from now.

I will say that I was doing this with my partner and it was clear half way through the morning that she wasn't getting to the road ride stage, so if someone had to go, I was the logical choice, as she wanted to leave anyway rather than wait for me, however, the guy knew I needed my CBT passed for Wednesday as we had been chatting about it earlier in the day and more importantly, I booked and paid for the day weeks in advance, and no mention was made of this, or even of it being a possibility, until the road ride time came and he basically said to go home and book a road ride for another day.

So, am I overreacting, or do I have a right to be ****ed off about this?

I'd get it completed and push for a refund of your fee personally the worst they can say is no.

You can't just turn up for a CBT so they knew how many people were coming on that day, so should have had a suitable amount of instructors in to accomodate them.

I'd take it from work as unpaid leave and have the company compensate you for loss of earnings. No reason you should loose a half days holiday because of their lack of organisation.

I had to wait 45 minutes after everyone else had gone off on theirs for our instructor to arrive. We only had an hour in the end but I didn't mind as we had a play with some speed guns & emergency stops etc.

I'd be p****d off, it's 2 learners to 1 instructor on the road. But if he said it was all in one day, then it should be.
