Just wanted to share my experience with Samsung Support..

After contacting Samsung i managed to get my monitor sent to be repaired for this "Not optimal mode" Display Port error, which seems to be common and pops up from time to time, then needs to be powered off and on to get the picture back.

So it came back from repair with a replaced screen and power supply, only i noticed a stuck pixel on there which i fixed by gently rubbing the screen with a soft cloth. But on top of that i now have a band line on the left side of the screen which is faint but visible on certain colours, plus i also noticed i am unable to get picture by turning off the screen by the power button and turning it back on. I have to unplug either the Display Port cable or the power lead, then plug it back in to get the picture back.

So now i have a screen with a band line i never had before, and whenever that error pops up i need to unplug something and plug it back in for the picture to return.. that has already happened when i was playing a game, and is going to become very irritating.

Contacted Samsung again BEFORE my warranty ended, they said my warranty already run out which was complete bs.. it takes ages to get a reply from them after sending a message, and of course my warranty has run out now, and now they refuse to have it picked up for repair. One of the messages i got back even said that my monitor wasn't a UK model!

This should get repaired for free seeings as their so called first "repair" has actually caused more issues..

I've sent them another support message some days back and am waiting for a response. Probably won't even get a reply now.

Really disappointed in Samsung, i like their stuff but i might avoid them in future if they're not going to help and act like that. Surely if the repair has caused issues it is their fault and it should not matter if the warranty has now ended?
