sent the wrong CD...

Firstley if this is against any forums rules, i appologise and mods, remove thread as per usual.

I ordered a CD for a friend for his birthday, 'Helter Skelter vs Raind Dance Presents Hardcore 2007'

He likes his trance/dance and enjoys a good rave. The package arrived this morning, so i opened it when i got home froom school. I noticed the Cd seemed rather slim considering the fact its 3cd set. I opened it to find 'Voices of the Valley- from the Fron Male Voice Choir'. This is obviousley not the correct CD!

Where do I stand with returning it? im going to give them a call and ask for any postage costs to be refunded to me if i have to send it back, or if they collect when delivering the correct CD.

It's quite a reasonable online retailer, dealing mainley in Cd's, DVD, Games and Books. Ive ordered quite a lot from them before and not had a problem with any orders. If you can guess the retailer, has this happened to you before?

I dont want to mention the name incase of an account suspension!

Its their mistake, I am sure if you call them they will have an RMA procedure. Eevn if you pay postage it won't be much, only a CD as you said.
 
Have a look on the returns jargon on the place that you orderd the CD from i think you can return something after 30 days of having the item.
 
You could try remixing it, you never know might please your friend and get yourself a career at the same time :D
 
Is dealing with a company really that difficult it warrants consulting a forum first?

I could understand if you were experiencing actual trouble.

It's a shame when members have the feeling that their account will be suspended at the slightest thing.. :(

Are the mods really that trigger happy?
 
Ive had that happen before. It came from the site that probably sells the most pc equipment in the Uk. It was a Geforce 4 cooler, they sent an ATi one twice so I just gave up! In your case just send it back m8

Well the slightest thing he is talking about is the name of a possible competitor, which is fair enough tbh.

As for the question, have a look at the website returns policy. Likelihood is you'll pay to return the item & they'll refund your postage when it arrives as it's what's called a mis-pick, ie. their mistake :)

Thanks for the usefull feedback guys. I was more interested to know if it had happened to any other people and normally their service is exceptional and outstanding.

Norm- just thought i'd contribute, we could all just sit in silence and not have a GD forum you know :p

I feel your pain man... :( :( :( I also dont like it when people find it hard to argue with spie or gilly...thinking they might be risking a suspension.

I just like spending times on these forums and contributing to the OCUK community, so for the sake of a suppliers name, its not worth posting, not that people will care anyway its not exactly an important thread lol
