Sentinels of the Multiverse is an awesome game & Greater than Games currently have a Kick Starter in progress for the last expansion to the set. There are a variety of pledge levels & I ended up going for the full collection as I usually play my friends copy & there is a chance that I may relocate at some point in the future and no longer have access to it.

If you already have the base game & the other expans you can go for the last expan which will include all of the promos (new art) and storage box!

Thought I'd share it in case it's of interest to anyone & because I'm really hoping they hit their $1 million pledge level. :D

18 days to go ...

What is SoTM?
Sentinels of the Multiverse is a cooperative, fixed-deck card game with a comic book flavor. Each player plays as one of the heroes, against one of the villains, and the battle takes place in one of the different dynamic environments.

Hmm... I like the idea of a coop game as I don't play enough of them but I'm not sure. How do the different environments work?

(sorry if this is mentioned - just kind of stumbled into this) :)

The environments can be good or bad for your group. Some may have cards that are beneficial they may attack the villain, provide a buff & some cards may hinder the group and result in you needing to switch focus from the villain to the environment instead.

Honestly, SOTM is pretty bad. The artwork is awful, it can be quarterbacked to hell and most of the heroes are boring. The one game I played I was some kind of girl version of the Punisher. I found a recursive combo about three turns into the game and after that I did nothing but play exactly the same couple of cards every turn until we won.

If you want a co-op game with superheroes, play Legendary instead.

Sounds like you played Expatriette.

I find that the heroes are diverse enough for people to play in the style that they would generally prefer; support, dmg etc. Plus depending on the Villain can determine how difficult the game can be.

I don't hate the artwork but that'll always be each to their own. I always find Unity's bots super cute! :p
