Separate computers on network?

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is possible or not, and if it is whether or not it's possible with the Home Hub 3. So I have 4 computers connected to the HH, 3 wired and one wireless. What I'd like is for my computer to be invisible, I don't want the other computers on the network to be able to ping me or communicate in any way.

Reason for wanting this is because, although I don't know much about computers, I don't trust the browsing habits of the users on the network and I am worried about any possible infection.

Thanks.

Really I'd like to stop any communication between the computers. I'm not worried about anyone seeing what I have on my computer I just don't want any risk of information/infection being transferred. I have disabled file sharing but I'm not sure if that covers everything.

Thanks, link was useful.

What do you guys think about disabling services like Server and Function Discovery Resource Publication? and disabling the file sharing related thingy under network properties?

You're worrying too much.

Make sure the firewall is enabled (and not letting anything unnecessary through) and use a Windows account with a password and you should be fine.

Alternatively just buy a decent router.

Or if you can live with a double NATed connection add another router between yourself and the existing router. Any cheap cable router would do.

Double NATed? I also have a Home Hub 2, would I connect that with an Ethernet cable from a LAN port to another LAN port or would it have to connect to a WAN port?

This will work, you don't have to use a WAN port at all, you'd just set the default gateway of the second router to the IP of the first HH3.

YOu will have issues port forwarding and possibly gaming though.

How would that provide any separation? If you want a router to route then it needs to do it via the WAN interface. If you don't then it's just a switch and you've achieved nothing.
