Seperate Sound Card Really Needed:

Im going to be getting some new speakers soon. Use will be just for music really. I have a realtec soundcard built into my motherboard, is a sperate really needed?

I don't have a seperate sound card and use onboard on my asus and all is well. 5.1 surround sound. Although I'm sure a seperate sound card would be useful in some cases like gaming. As for the speakers in your other thread, have u seen the Klipsch gmx ones? Love those speakers! (wish i had them)

Personally i would, i was on a Realtec and i was ignorant to the fact that Sound cards would be better. So i went and got a X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS and all i can say is the sound is amazing, much punchier and warmer sounding. The dynamic range of sounds has been greatly increased creating an awesome experience to be heard to be believed. Well worth it in my opinion.
