Sept 11, Emergency services transcript

For some reason many people still imagine these attacks or even natural disasters to be just something that happened.

But when people are shown the reality it makes the mind work a lot more and it really gets peoples hearts not just minds.

it still shouldnt be posted on here, keep it on removed along with all the other death related things.
I think there’s a huge difference between random internet gore and the personal moments recorded/transcribed in this thread.

9/11 was a horrific event in which so many innocents died and recordings such as that should be shared with hope that these disasters should never be allowed to happen again.

that recording sent shivers down my spine near the end those poor people :( and as for removed beware if your sensitive to exsplicite material of the twisted kind.

I presume it's ok to link to as it hasn't been edited out by Dons and it's not exactly a surprise given the thread.

So I've hosted the transcript of the above conversation, which isn't for the faint-hearted, here.

This may sound really in-sensitive, but still, now, five years on I can't get my head around the fact that it really happend and it wasn't a film.

Its so cliché, but when i came home from school, which everyone was entirely oblivious to the days events, i walked into the kitchen glanced at the tele.. shouted to my mum "hey mum, what movie you watching?".. turned back to see myself and it took me another 5 seconds to figure out why the BBC logo had been used in a film.. it hadnt.. :(

quite a hard thing to listen to

i had a quick look on that removed site, 2 minutes later i just quit it, some of that stuff just makes my stomach turn :(

Watching the counter in iTunes count down past -30secs I could feel my heart beating faster. Not nice. Especially at this time of night.

Another sad fact is that those fire teams attempting to reach the gentleman would have died soon after. Such a waste of life.

I always wondered why people get so angry in these situations but i bet most of us cannot truly imagine what it must be like to be in that situation and not in control. He has put his trust solely in the hands of the rescue services. And you can tell he knows she is only asking him questions to keep him on the line and calm.

RIP

It's not nice being that up-close and personal with such a bad thing but I think people's grief is misplaced. The exact same thing would happen if there was a fire in an apartment building, there'd be no escape and the situation would be the same but it wouldn't have been caused by terrorists. But then again, that's not to say that man hasn't killed on a ridiculously larger scale for even less of a reason. Either way, it's horrible :(

I just found the MP3 of that.

All I can reply with and keep saying in my mind is "Oh God"; yet, that's the last thing that the caller said and I can't get it out of my mind.

That's hit me harder than anything else. Terribly, terribly chilling recording.

Of all the sick, twisted and gorey movies I've seen on that site mentioned, this audio recording is 10 times worse than any of them.

God, I feel terrible.

R.I.P. Kevin Cosgrove. :(

I have seen my fair share of sick, nasty and downright inhumane things on the internet as most of us probably have done, but that audio recording is the only thing that's actually genuinely upset me. The entire thing is just horrible. Them last few words just hit you can't get them out of your head.

My Grandma got diagnosed with Cancer today. Hearing this recording actually makes me realise how lucky I am, even after that news. I feel better for myself, knowing that even in the face of what's to come for me and my family that it could be a lot worse. But then I feel awful at the same time. There's way to much pain and suffering in this world.

Had this web site saved for many years now since it all happened. Always brings a chill to me.

What kind of world do we live in these days!

Let us never forget!

Thank you for that link. I have the original .swf that didn't have a lot of the narrative vocals at the end that that one did.

I also have this one that I got off another site.

One of my rotating desktop images is this one that I added the text to.....

Rethinking about the events of that day really put your troubles into thier proper place, don't they? :|

P.S. If anyone wants the original .swf, let me know and I'll upload it. A little late for me right now to do it, but I can do it in the morning.....
