Now I've got used to Face ID I'm not sure I'd ever use Touch ID.

I'm not going to get anything new from that event. The first gen of Apple Intelligence will probably be a bit janky so waiting a year for it to mature seems like a reasonable idea. Also I don't use my phone as much. I mainly use my Studio and Air for most computing tasks. That is where Apple Intelligence will help me more.

Apple intelligence isn’t janky at all on the 18.1 beta, actually works well.

Sounds good. The thing is I already pay for ChatGPT and only use it on my Macs. If Apple Intelligence on the Mac is good enough I'll just cancel ChatGPT and save some money.

I'm curious if Apple Intelligence is going to cost a monthly fee at some point? I currently pay for ChatGPT which is around £20 a month and is worth it but if Apple Intelligence is free and works reasonably well that is going to be a big saving.

The base 16 models seem more exciting to me compared to the Pro models this year. The 60Hz display is the main put-off. Maybe next year.

I wish they did the Pros in the same colours as the normal ones.

What are you doing on ChatGPT that it's worth 20 notes monthly?

Mainly research when it comes to programming and tech stuff. Being able to ask questions and then narrow it down to the exact thing I want is well worth it. I also use it as a Google replacement as well.

Furthermore I also have Github Copilot which is integrated with the Jetbrains IDEs which I also use.
