Sequential Heading Numbering in Word 2007

I want to switch on numbering as per the following in Word 2007:

1. Heading One
Blah blah blah.

1.1 Heading Two
Blah blah blah.

1.1.1 Heading Three
Blah blah blah.

This used to be easy in previous versions of Word. Sadly now I can't work out how to do it. Can anyone help?

Disitation work by any chance? - I have been doing it manually, couldnt figure out how to do it without it messing up everytime.

No, just trying to recreate my templates after having to reinstall it on a new laptop. I am not a particular fan of Word 2007, they seem to have made it much more difficult to do the simplest of things.

Found that you can switch it on via the Multilevel List button on the Home tab of the ribbon.
