I'm hoping someone has some experience of running graphics cards in series or parallel... I'm setting up a loop with a heatkiller 3.0 cpu block, 2x EK fullcover 480GTX blocks, 18w ddc pump with ek red top and 3 radiators (xspc ex280, phobya 200mm extreme and an alphacool st30 240mm radiator) with about 2m of 7/16 tubing. Martins flowrate estimator gives a flowrate of around 1.5gallons/min.

Does a parallel or serial set-up give better temps?

Serial will give slightly better temps at the GPUs, but at the expense of worse flow elsewhere in the loop, parallel you will get slightly worse cooling at the GPUs but better flow else where. The difference will be too small to worry about in reality if you're over the 1gpm figure.

Edit: Saying that though, you will be less than 1gpm for each GPU if you go parallel which might make a bigger difference to you, but it will depend on the type of block.
