Serious booting problem

after recently replacing my watercooled system which was on its last legs to air cooled. finalled received all my new parts and stripping, rebuilding the computer im having a serious problems booting.

system spec

AMD 64 3500
radeon 1950pro 256 (stock)
gskill 2x 512 ram
MSI k8n neo 2 platinum
550 watt psu

The problem I'm getting is when having both sticks of ram setup in duel channel mode on my mobo the system fails to boot, and the problem which i get is CPU Initialization LED on the D Bracket on the back on my mobo, if i only use 1 stick the system boots fine but windows will not load nor will safe mode etc etc, even if i start a fresh install of XP it fails to even loads the setup files needed for installation.

all ive done so far is replaced the cpu with a brand new 4000+, also replaced the gfx card with a brand new HIS radeon HD3850 agp card still the problem persists, i've completely stripped the computer down and then booted it up adding every bit of hardware each time but i'm still getting the same problems, another problem i get is when booting with 1 stick of ram and when windows boots i get an error saying "load needed DLLs for kernel" and then the system reboots.

i've reset cmos, taken the battery out i'm starting to run out of ideas, i've pretty much eliminated every problem but the motherboard! and i cant get a AGP 939 motherboard from anywhere.

so what can i do from here?

is my mobo fried somehow? or is it another problem?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like a faulty memory controller to me.. Do you get the same problem with the old CPU installed? Do you not get any POST beeps?

EDIT - sorry, I have misread your post - you have.

Have you tried running memtest?

haven't tried memtest, that requires a floppy drive doesn't it

don't get any beeps cause system speaker has been taken out, can u get beeps through on board sound?

thanks for the quick reply tho

It will highlight red if any errors are found and list were. (run mem test last month can't remember 100% whats shown)

running memtest at the moment, have to do 1 stick per test as PC wont boot with both sticks in at the same time.

so good so far ill get back to you when im done with both.

if the motherboard has died, would it be best to send the agp HIS 3850 back and buy a PCI gfx card? and then buy a 939 mobo with PCI-E, will i be able to keep my gskill ram i got atm cause its some very good stuff for ocing?

Try the second stick to see how that gets on, before you do, have you checked the voltage in the BIOS.
The memory modules should have a sticker stating the voltage.

just tried booting again with both sticks this time in dimm1 and dimm3 system booted but was black screen just before windows loading screen and stayed black i had both 512 running but single channel. i only get the CPU initialization problem when running in duel channel.

ill run the 2nd stick this time and see how its going.

on my GSkill doesn't say anything about voltage but its set to auto in the bios. should i change this?

ok just ran the 2nd stick, a lot of red errors at the bottom of the screen, test is on 42% at the moment, i thought it had froze but its ok now, still a lot of red errors tho.

that to say my ram is pretty much scrap?

Look like thats the culprit, treat yourself to some new memory and see how you get on.
