"A very serious bug has been found with Shivering Isles that will render the game unplayable in many ways after about 50 to 120 hours of play (better FPS means bug hits earlier). The bug will occur regardless of whether you access SI content or not. The basis of bug is that an internal "space" of identification numbers for objects created in the game (e.g., a dropped arrow, a new creature, etc.) becomes exhausted -- at which point the newly created objects disappear from the game world. It is not known whether this affects Xbox users as well (it is reasonable to assume that it would, but might not hit until around 150 hours of play assuming 30 FPS on Xbox)."

Just thought I would share the knowledge.

Just tested mine. Only been playing for 16 hours (gametime), because I decided to start again with SI installed - previously completed almost anything anyway..

Currently on FF6xxxx... :( Halfway there already after 16 hours!!! Worst thing is, I haven't even started the SI quest, so haven't even experienced the new content, was going to wait until after the main quest. Guess there is no point now.

Ah well, let's see if Silent Hunter and C&C3 are playable. Although I have heard some bad stories about Silent Hunter....

this bug was around before S.I.
again occured after a couple of hundred hours.
most people never play that long because they create new characters for different guilds etc. not sure if a clean uninstall/install fixes it but hopefully beth'll do something about it.

Phew, very quick work for them to release a fix for it. Thank god they did tho, been playing a good bit of Oblivion lately, so to have lost all the stuff i had collected would have been crap to say the least.
