Im running a 3.2Ghz prescott and as you can probably see i have recently been folding. i have had to stop this because since i started i have noticed that temps are reaching the low 70s, i have tried hoovering, putting the orignal stock cooler in which makes no difference except that it is successfully drowns out my 300watt stereo. Anyone got any ideas this is starting to worry me.

Its a hot cpu, thankfully they work ok at high temps, so as long as its not throttling its ok. The noise is another matter however...

Get a scythe ninja if you can afford it or a freezer 64 if you can't, thats probably about the only thing you can do if you want to fold on it full whack.

You can try folding at only 80% cpu utlilsation, there is an option for this in the fah advanced config. Start a thread in the dc forum if you need a hand with this. Better 80% than nothing. ;)

You can try even lower, say 50% if its still cooking...
