Being an O2 customer this almost had me.

You may wonder why I said Serious in the title, last night I had an unknown number ring me asking who it was using this number. The voice sounded english and the guy in question about 40-50 certainly older.

This looks almost legit except its not addressed to myself like other bills and does not tally with my bill (checked it on the legit addy).

Just in case any of you may get this, as this is my first.

All o2 emails address the customer personally.

Speaking to o2 someone has apparently gained access to o2's customer database and contact details. Hence people ringing you up asking who this is etc.

If they have gained access to O2's customer database, why wasn't the email addressed to you personally?

How do they get money out of you then?:)
Yes indeed, the links send you to the legit O2 site!

Sounds like something/someone has messed up at O2, rather than a scam :)

Me to hope it was a panic of words on his behalf :(

But apparently a call had prefollowed the email before its sending.

I can't see how it would get you except on the basis of the email being opened and read.

Is there anyway I could get scammed as I pay DD so any customer database access surely would have all my payment details in it.

That's what I thought, normally with the scam sites you can put in any combination of username/password:)

The bill amount is fake and not linked to my account it does make no sense but check the email the subject had a <@> in it?

Whats that bout?
