Hi Guys,

I've just been on the phone with OcUK technical support regarding some performance issues, the kind gentleman suggested that I post here as he was baffled :p. I'm getting very poor frame rates in the flight simulation DCS: A-10C. My frame rates are on average around 7-15 on the ground and 15-25 in the air. Rexehuk who is a member here, gets much higher FPS than I do even with his single Radeon HD 5850 with the same settings.

My Current Setup:

AMD Phenom II X6 1090t @ 3.20GHz
ASUS Crosshair IV Formula 890FX
XFX Radeon HD 6870 CrossfireX (2)
G.Skill RipJaw 2x2GB 1600MHz
XFX Pro 750w

I'm also running Windows 7 and DCS: A-10C from a Crucial M4 SSD with the latest firmware (0009).

I built the PC around a year ago now, all components from OcUK. I've only just noticed the bad performance and tried to act on it in the last month or so, as I've not played DCS before. The only other game I play is ArmA 2, where bad performance is most always present for me. I just took it on the chin and assumed that it was the developers problem.

Everything is up-to-date, I updated my BIOS yesterday to the latest non-beta for my motherboard. Finally, I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and have done three fresh installs in less than a week.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated greatly. The tech guy and Rexehuk have both suggested that I test each GPU one by one. I'm about to install Heaven, so I'll get post my results.

DCS: A-10C Settings:

DCS Benchmark:
Crossfire Enabled:
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
6237, 328445, 12, 67, 18.989

Crossfire Disabled:
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
8637, 294047, 19, 94, 29.373

Edit: ^^ Problem solved I think, why didn't I think of that sooner. :o:p:eek: What about the error, I've been having issues with that lately. I made a post on the DCS forum but nobody really knows. Sometimes it crashes and sometimes it doesn't. At one point I must mention that the sim was unplayable through crashing in the menu. Here's the topic: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=79324. Thanks again!

Thanks!
Moose

try reinstalling the graphics drivers. i've no idea why but my PC just doesnt keep its graphics driver installs so you might have the same problems. i could fix that with a windows reinstall but i cba

*edit*
ooh, just noticed your doing a flight sim on crossfire. try using a single card or turning crossfire off somehow because i dont think flight sims support crossfire yet (happy to be proved wrong here though)

I'll go ahead and do a benchmark with it enabled and disabled. Results in around 10 minutes. :)

Thanks!
