Hi all,

Just looking for old samurize threads and its all gone a bit quiet...... since a very long time ago!! How many of you still use it? Could you post a few screenshots of your samurize so that I could get some ideas together to make another one?

Sold my PC and bought a lap top and haven't reapplied my Samurize stuff.

I have been playing with MS Live beta, RSS feeds and MS gadgets this past week and like what I see a lot.

Yet another thread which I didnt get an email to say it had been updated :( Sorry guys I wasn't playing post a thread and leave it ;)

How did you get on with your config sam?
 
I'll post my new one once I get back from work. Ive now also managed to get the samurize server working, so that I can see my servers stats displayed on my main machine's samurize config.

Mine is made up of three smaller ones which can be downloaded from the sam website. computer one is vipez, tv one is uktv and the weather one is the most downloaded one iirc - cant remember the name :)

I used to have loads of stuff loading, like news and tv etc, but to be honest tv is rubbish these days so i dont bother checking.

I tend to use the same format, running a 1600x1200 desktop means I can have a browser or whatever window to the left on the blank desktop and still see the sammy config running.

I have never understood why people use Samurize to show static system stats etc, I mean who really needs to remember they are running XP or what user name they are logged in as, that should be fairly bleedin' obvious!

Main thing I like is the Weather plugin, got some fantastic icons to use for it and its always good to see the forecast for the days ahead.

I like my Winamp bit, can use it to pause/play/load winamp, the usual stuff.

IMO the Samurize site is slowing down, without that many more plugins and things being made. Still its a good tool for sys info etc, but I think the main reason that people dont use it that much is that there isnt much more being added to it.
 
I got mine from the Samurize website, which is why it doesn't match my desktop. I'm looking for a better one as I don't have the time/patience/skill/intelligence (delete as applicable) to create my own.
