Right i have a p4 630 @ 3.9 ghz @ 1.5 volt in bios
boots up etc....
Starting a game, after 5 secoinds freeze
I reboot, check voltage in bios, cpu-z, etc... the voltage is unstable bwteen 1.408 and 1.424 insatead of 1.5 :S.
P5n32 Sli deluxe btw...
Newest bios...
Temps are fine on this oc 50 C laod max 39 idle, AC freezer 7 pro...
Is my mobo ******?
My last config was a p4c800 deluxe iwth a 3.0 ghz scotty@ 3.9 on 1.475 volts wich weret hat also in real when idlign and 1.45 approx udner stress, (this voltage is when idling btw on my current mobo)
So has anyone an idea why my mboo is so seriously udnervolting my cpu??
I have diff mobo's to test with (p5ld2, p5gd2 deluxe, p5ad2 premium, p5p800, and more) but is trhis really my mobo wich is *^^$## up in some way??
Sry but this is making me highly annoyed.
Btw ram = ok its @ 1:1 with cpu while rated for a lot higher speeds, latency's are loosened arldy for testing if more stable....
Any suggestions etc.. are welcome
Edit: downclocked to 3.6 ghz still same prob.
I know the chip can do better and doesnt have this exetreme voltage resistance...

First of all, get rid of the sweary, read the FAQ etc etc

Asus boards undervolt, they all do. You will probably have to volt mod it.

I done the pencil mod on my P5ND2 SLi Deluxe and it now overvolts by around 0.08v whereas before it dropped to about 0.1v under what I had set int he BIOS.

Edit: Also the Nforce 4 chipset with Intels is rubbish for overclocking so that might be why it is unstable.

0.08? , ok ill try to find this pencil mod, just amazed why it udnervolts so much compared to my last mobo
Thanks for quick responce
Edit doubt its just chipset soem reviews say it clocks very good when modded(maybe wrong tho), the volts are main prob i mean overclock on low volts is askign for trouble, seen it drops soemtimes to 1.392 too...
Ah well if i dotn fix this in a week itll be bye p5n32 forever and getting a conroe supporting mobo.

Edit: i thought that helps only for when cpu is udner load? i mean mine is udnervolting heavily when idling, ah well ill try it just afraid to do something wrong or break my mobo...
