What can you get for 97p?

A McDonalds cheese burger, sure but how long does it last?

Well, i managed to get myself for 97p, a brand new sealed copy of Serious Sam episodes 1 & 2, and am loving it!!

:D

Got my old rig at the GF's so she can do college work, and have decided to buy some old cheap games.

1st off i got Age of Empire 1 & 2 plus conquerers add on all for £5, and also Rise of Nations for £4 from a local non gaming store.

I was chuffed with my bargains, but then i was wondering around a computer retail store and looked in th bargain bin and found a game i always wanted but never got for 97P!

When i got home i was amazed the 1st episode as well as the 2nd episode was in there, great fun as easily the best 97p i've ever spent not just on gaming but my whole life.

Bargain.

Superb games with a very nice scaleable engine. 5 years later and it still hasn't been bettered for number of enemies on screen at once.

I'd highly recommend the co-op mode as well.

It's actually quite nice to have a game which doesn't take itself too seriously, bright colourful scenes where you can sit back and blast away without having to worry about peering round dark corners or following the storyline.

These games have the core components any FPS needs: Fun weapons and baddies... lots of 'em.

Couldn't agree more ^^ there's nothing like running around a HUGE open playing area with a Cannon firing huge cannon balls it at those big mutant bulls :D

you've gotta like the direction of the serious sam series ... total fun blaster !

Even funnier to watch in network play.. the cannon ball is like twice the size of Sam when it fires LOL.
