Was wondering if any of you know what my problem is!

If this cannot be resolved, i'll format my machine.

It all started a few hours ago upon trying to enable Intel's virtual machine software thing in my BIOS. This was to get Windows 8 Hyper-V function up and running.

Upon enabling Intel® Virtualization Technology, saving the bios and restarting my pc, my system loaded through to desktop, and 1 minute later froze, totally froze, not a black screen, or a blue one, just froze on desktop.

I restarted my machine, same freeze again after 2-3 minutes. So i disabled Intel® Virtualization Technology, and rebooted, same problem again, i did a system restore to earlier in the evening before any of this started - SAME problem again. Still freezing after a few minutes.

I go to my event viewer and this keeps popping up but i cannot make sense of it! - I'm guessing it's my sound driver? - yet I've never had this issue before.

Im writing this from the machine itself. Seems to be stable for a random amount of time before freezing. System has been fine 6 months prior to tonights problem. Sorry for the long post, cheers for reading if you did!

ignore me if a stoopid comment :)

have you turned anything off in bios like fans and it's over heating, if you think it's the driver have you uninstalled?

Yeah fans are running , temps are normal, event logs just keep mentioning that error.

Update : I've re-installed Realtek audio drivers for win 8 (2.69), still same issue.

Im running a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H Motherboard, sometimes when restarting, the BIOS loadup becomes stuck/jammed. I get the following debug codes displayed on the motherboard at random times when restarting my machine:

62 - Installation of the PCH run time services
A2 - Detect and install all currently connected IDE devices

I have no idea whats going on, who am i.

The error is basically saying your storage system is failing to respond. This could be HD/CD ROM/USB stick/Card reader.

Try resetting your bios to optimized defaults and starting from there. If this is not a clean install then it's probably time to consider that too.

Cheers Yashiro, will give those a go tomorrow and see if i can come up with a stable system.

Also going to try using the windows 8 'Reset your pc' function as well.

Really strange how all these errors have been caused just by trying to enable the Intel® Virtualization Technology, my bios must just be touchy :P
