Seriously high RAM usage with nothing running

Spec:

4790k @ 4.6ghz
8GB Kingston Savage @ 2133
GB Gaming 5-MX
2x GTX Titans SLi

I've seen this for a while now, I've got Chrome open with about 8 tabs and my RAM usage is about 95%. Playing BF3/4/Hardline/Dying Light are quite rightly grinding the system to a halt with 7.8GB being used.

Any reason for this? CCleaner has been run, Malaware Bytes is showing nothing. I've also got about 6GB allocated to the page file, I've not set this.

Is this common running dual GPUs?
Have I missed something?
Windows have a memory leak?

Does your motherboard use the Killer networking NIC thingy m8?

If you are referring to Killer Network Manager, than yes! Would this be the issue?

Chrome likes ram.... I have 5 tabs open and 11 chrome processes to total of 560mb

Almost certainly,its a known issue on win8.1 i suffered from it too and took me weeks to figure it out

Heres what you need to do for a fix

Open Regedit as admin and find the following library

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Ndu\

then select the 'Start' entry and change it to 4

Then restart your PC

Did that fix sort you out m8?
