How is this idiot being taken seriously?
Military vehicles not a problem, dude in a uniform "raging fear".

"It was pure fear, I actually never encountered or made this connection. It was quite a terrifying experience made worse by the fact that nobody else seemed to be affected."

'Fascist fetishism'
She told The Sun newspaper she cried when she saw people in German military uniforms from the Second World War.

"It was fascist fetishism," she said. "People were posing with these 'soldiers'."

The 30-year-old said no-one from the National Trust had contacted her, although she had left her details with them.

"This is a gruesome part of history and it needs to be handled with care and there needs to be a duty of care to people attending these events," she added.

"My descendants are from Europe, and although I don't know by name who perished, I am sure members of my family did die in the Holocaust."

Whos betting the sun article has full on compo face?

A terrifying experience? Why did she think she had been magically time shifted back to ww2 era Germany? Some ***** being talked there to say the least.

I read that earlier, I thought maybe if she was an old woman then it might fly, then checked, saw she was 30...... Just attention seeking.

At a first read I don't see the problem with it. The Nazi's were brutal, burning dozens alive in barns, pushing old disabled people off heights, torturing people. I don't see a problem here, she's obviously been privy to stories and attitudes been passed down from previous generations. Why else would they dress as Nazi's, give me one reason.

There is a regular 1940's weekend in Howarth, West Yorkshire, that used to have people sometimes dressing up in different german uniforms. I think politically correct lot stopped the nazi/ss uniforms.

It seems we aren't allowed to explore history anymore in case it upsets someone.

I went to the Yorvik museum and it was pure fear all those wax Vikings I just thought they would pillage my village and steal my livestock and burn my house. I spent hours shaking afterwards.

Why would people need to dress as Nazi's, it's one thing looking at uniforms in a museum but to actually organise an event, it's just a power trip.

Same reason they dressed was British Russian American french and pretty much every other nation involved.

It's a history day

Yeah but...what does that mean, a history day, it's to remember past events, then surely she's justified remembering the recent(which it was) history of the brutality of the Nazi's.

I dare you to go to the states with a KKK cloak and rope with noose.

I don’t think anyone was re-enacting gassing Jewish people, just wearing German uniforms.

What on just some random day as a random person?

Or in context like this which would be say a black history month alongside civil rights movement displays and absolutley not aggrandizing it but simply presenting history as this was.

You could be right. I'm just saying that if you really analyse it it's hard to find a reason why people would bother organising a specific event to dress up as Nazi's. Why not look at pictures online or go to a museum.

I'm worried about the culture of shutting down absolutely anything that might be controversial, might be upsetting, might cause a bit of offence, or might be a little difficult.

Some people seem to be letting go of their basic coping skills, or their ability to cope with things that might be slightly or mildly difficult, and having an all-out tantrum over it, it bothers me how that's becoming accepted and society is having to pander to it.
