I’m having a strange issue with my new 2k3 server in that it refuses to shut down when I press the power Button. Now the server has no monitor or keyboard as I use windows remote login to control the server meaning when I want to turn it off I have to boot another PC to do so, which is very inconvenient.
I’ve enabled shutdown without login.
PC knows to shut down at button press.
I’ve disabled that poxy event tracker.
Now I’m new to server so I’m not sure what else to try
Below is a print off of regmon which shows that winlogon.exe is called but im not quite sure how to decipher the information.
Anyone got any input?
Edit: ACPI + API are both enabled
Motherboard is a PCChips M863G which supports ACPI
PSU is a shuttle PC-40 ATX 1.3 which should be fine too
