Server 2008 and AFP

I'm potentially removing an Apple XServe + XRAID and replacing it with a PowerVault add-on to a current server running Windows Server 2008.

Windows Server 2008 doesn't have AFP support. Does anyone know what i can do to get AFP running here, maybe with 3rd party software or something?

ExtremeZ and MacServerIP, neither are cheap unfortunately.

Potentially you could create a netatalk 'gateway' (either virtualise or use dedicated hardware) then use mounted samba shares (on your Win2008) as the AFP volumes; worth looking at considering netatalk is open source.

Hmm, that is an idea i suppose. Potentially a big pain in the behind, but still, it's an option.
