Hi all,
I installed Windows Server 2008 R2 about a month ago on to my new HP Proliant Microserver, all is well apart from a bug I have found with RDP, as this is my preferred method of remote access I use this a lot.
It works ok up to a point, I find that if I start a session, do what I need to do and log out, it works ok, I can re-connect then no problems when I want to, however if I log on, and leave it un-attended for a short space of time (anywhere from 5 minutes up) I will get disconnected, then when I try to re-connect I get prompted for the password, it goes to connect, I get the Windows loading screen in the background and it will freeze. I can't get on then unless I manually re-boot the server.
Has anyone else experienced this at all? (I use this over the WAN/LAN, its not my PPP dropping or packets dropping, as I have been monitoring my WAN connection and its not dropped its link or packets from either side of the connection, what ever this issue is it seems to be server bound).
