Hi

We have a Draytek 2830 router which has 2 offices connected to it but on seperate vlans. Office 1 has a SBS2011 server and they also use VPN so port 1723 is forwarded to the SBS2011 server.

Office 2 have a SBS 2008 R2 server and now also want VPN. Is it possible to change the default VPN ports in Server 2008 R2 or is there a better way of allowing office 2 VPN access?

Thanks

We don't want to use the 2830 VPN facility as you then have enter a username/pasword to connect to the Draytek VPN and then another username/password to authenticate to the server.

The only way I can see that you can do this is to configure L2TP VPN on Office 2's SBS 2008 box, and forward the ports for L2TP on the Draytek to it. Even if you were to change the port that SBS 2008 uses for PPTP connections, I'm not sure if you could configure the clients to use that port - the build in Windows VPN client doesn't seem to offer the option to use another port.

Edit: I did a very quick google search on the subject, and it seems that you might be able to do it with OpenVPN instead of using Window's VPN server. I'm not sure if that's something you're prepared to try, however.
