Has any one implemented Direct access before?
im looking to give it a try out but looking for some feed back.

1 document i was reading said i needed 2 external ip v2 addresses? is this really the case?

what issues should i see arrise? its only for a small number of users.

thanks.

I'm interested in this too, I'm surprised no one has replied.

Out of interest, do you currently allow people to work from out side of the office at all?

We have it setup, once we ironed out some of the bugs it does work quite well and users don't' notice the difference between LAN connected and non-LAN connected.

How easy is it configured? Is the only pre-requisite that the PC is a domain member?

Pretty much, I love it because if I'm in the office and I accidentally nuke my personal laptop (happened a few times now) I can just RDP to my DC at home, do an offline domain join w/ group policy included add my machine back on to my network from wherever I am and it'll set up DA too... Seamless.

You'll also need a dynamic dns alias - makes things a lot easier, I use freedns.org.

sounds nice. I am planning an enterprise level access method and I don't see anything bad about it so far. I even hear that you can use RSA tokens to authenticate if it detects you are outside of a internal subnet.

The thing I can't get my head around is "Is Direct Access a competitor to Citrix Netscaler" or is it a different product?
