Hi guys,

Our 2008 server running DNS but everyday at around lunchtime all clients seem to loose their interent connections.

There are no records in the event logs and the only way to get things running again is to restart the service.

Any ideas???

Probably talking rubbish here but I had a problem where printing and remote access services would just randomly stop, turned out that a group policy was set on the servers to deny these services so they would just randomly stop. Might be worth a look :)

Have you got Symantec Endpoint Protection running on that Server ?

If so it may be this, as there have been reports of a problem with Server 2008 products.

Not everyday, and not at a set time - but this happens to me. DNS queries just start failing until the service is restarted, and nothing in the event logs.

Would love to know why, as it's really starting to irritate me.

EDIT: Googled it again, and found this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968372 - I might give it a go.

Hi

Don'T know if this is relevant but I have difficulty getting to a www. car club site directly, instead I have to use a proxy server which carries unwanted adverts, undesirable in cases.
My ISP told me it was the club site that was blocking access.
I have no idea as to why this should happen perhaps it is down to area or territory allocated to ISP's.

Regards
Mike
