Server idea help

I need help with some server ideas...

Currently we have 1 machine, Pent 4 2.8ghz with 1.5 RAM on XP. There are 3 users all work from home. We connect via remote desktop to the machine. We have "tweaked" it so that we can all log in together. We want to keep all our files in 1 place, ie outlook, office docs etc for backing up. We are looking to increase this number to 5 on remote desktop.

Can someone give me a better solution?

My idea was to run Server 08 on a LENOVO TS200. Can Server 08 be configured to do what we want?

Would the outlook PST file needed to be loaded everytime from the server to the persons remote location

So you've hacked XP to allow multiple logons, lol.

PST files are held on the local profile so settings up a 2008 standard server, then licensing for 5 Terminal Server users would be your best bet.

I'm assuming each individual has their own email address and your not all sharing the same one, right?

Then yes, a TS server is ideal for your situation.
