Server to replace dying Swann CCTV?

Afternoon all!

My SWANN DVR system is dying. Keeps locking up and needing to be down powered and restarted (reboot not playing ball for some reason).

I have a server on 24/7. What would I need to utilise this to take over the SWANN system? Hardware and software? Currently have 5 channels and do use it for viewing away from home.

The server is running windows server 2012 essentials if that makes a difference!

I'd look into switching over to a Hikvision system. They do NVR's and a great range of IP Cameras, so will give you maximum flexibility for the future.
