Current I'm running a HP Microserver. This has done me well as a file server but I now want to go back to domain based system and a far more multi purpose server. I have bought a 1366 mobo and an X5650.

I've also dragged an old case out the garage and put a lid on it after it was modded for watercooling.

I actually like this look :)

Now I just need to order a few bits to get it up and running. So far I have this:
YOUR BASKET
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan RED 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLRED38G2400HC11CDC01) £47.99
1 x SanDisk X110 128GB SATA 6GB/s 2.5" Solid State Drive (SD6SB1M-128G-1022i) £37.99
1 x Antec VP350P 350W 85% Efficient Continuous Power Supply £31.99
1 x Raijintek Themis Evo Professional CPU Cooler £27.95
Total : £155.52 (includes shipping : £8.00 Ex.VAT).

Is there anything you would change? I am planning on putting the RAM in my PC so I can stick 3x2GB sticks from that in the server. I'll just have to keep an eye on RAM usage at first. Other thing is the power sockets are on top of the board so I need to check the PSU leads will reach.

Thanks

Mainly cos I'm cheap and can't see any on OcUK. I've been running for 5 years on non ECC without an issue.

Well I ended up ordering this and reusing the 8GB RAM in the micro server for now.

1 x Raijintek Themis Direct Contact CPU Cooler £19.99

Unfortunately the PSU has a horrible buzzing sound so I think that'll be going back on Monday. Upgraded to Server 2012r2, clean install on the SSD and its all running great.
