Servers Up?

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a free program to monitor a list of servers and see if they are up?

All depends what you define as 'up' really.

If you mean pingable? Then freeping works, I use it for our network video cameras at work to ensure they are on the network.

If you are referring to being able to see if services/applications availablility then thats something else.

However, with the amount of servers you have to monitor, it might not be free. I've used it to monitor about 25/30 servers and they were fine for that, but I don't know how well they upscale.

depends on what servers, but all of ours are HP so we use HP Insight Manager.

works a treat.
