Service Additions.

Hi,

My car is due to go in for a service, and I have been asked if I am interested in additional maintenance services.

These are: air con, sanitisation, and fuel treatment.

I don't think I will bother with the sanitisation, but I'm not sure about the other two services?

Air con maintenance is essentially just an air con "bomb" that you could do yourself if your air con actually smells bad - so worth about £10:

Fuel treatment is snake oil.

No to both would be the correct answer.

Agreed, get a cannister of aircon conditioner from Halfords, Amazon etc and do that yourself and fuel treatment is a waste of time (you could always just put some Redex in if you felt the need)

Depends for me. If the aircon service you mention is a recharge PLUS a sanitaisation then yeah may as well do it all in one. If the price isn't stupid of course.

When I had the Mustang I had Kwik Fit do the aircon (it was empty) and sanitise at the same time. It was lovely afterwards. Fuel treatment, yeah no on that. Just go fill up a tank or two of VPower for example as it has the cleaners and stuff added. If the car is old, you might see more benefit from whipping out the injectors and sending them off for a test, and clean imo.
