My Macbook Pro is about 11 months old and the battery is on 260 cycles, I've just got the service battery warning.

Has anyone had any experience in dealing with Apple as far as battery warranties go and does anyone know what charge cycle limit they have?

I'm guessing my best course of action to spend ages travelling to an apple store, as I just cant be without my mac for a few weeks.

Just a quick update, went into the store in Milton keynes today (was a fun drive in this weather). The gent quickly plugged in an old ipod with some battery diag tool on it and has ordered me a new one on warranty. it should be here in a couple of days!

He said to me that it was under 300 cycles but with the issues that my battery was having it wasn't a just charge capacity issue so would have been replaced anyway :)

You couldn't get much better than that for service, without them already having it in stock.

Got a new one today and its currently in here charging up, this time I'm going to go very easy on it only not charging it when I really need to to be portable and conditioning it every 2 months!

Hopefully this one doesn't develop the same fault the last one did!
