Hi guys, my wifes focus st (mk 3) is being part exed tomorrow, however the indicator has just come on tonight. What are dealers like if this light comes on, should I expect to pay an extra 100 quid or so or will they not be bothered?

Cheers

If it is high enough mileage/old enough it'll just be heading over to BCA anyway. They won't be bothered.

Turn on ign, brake & accelerator pedals to the floor for 10 secs and it'll reset ;)

Having said that, dealers will usually service it for resale anyway for newer cars. If not I'll get auctioned off.

I'll have a play. The guys coming between 9 and 10 so I'm just going to wash the car (hard-core at 7.30 on the mirninh:p).
Why would you do that? All the better to cover any further opportunities for them to negotiate price :p

What has she gone for?

It's a nearly 10 year old car, I wouldn't bother with any of that. We didn't even wash our last car we part exed and that was 5 years old.

I traded in a fairly low value 6 year old car and they pretty much just looked at it to see it existed.

Although it only takes 20 seconds to get rid, may as well just do that.

Well it's gone and the guy didn't seem bothered. Mostly OK, but I've noticed a scratch on the inside of one of the doors (on the plastic), what's the best way of cleaning it up? The garage is 3 hours away so nit worth getting them to solve it (although have emailed to see what they say).
