Service / MOT... how much?

What's the going rate nowadays for a service and MOT from a decent place?

Bloke near me wants £140 +VAT for Service and £40 for MOT, that about right?

(last few years I've used discounr vouchers that came with my car when I bought it)

What care have you got?

I would be paying £120 - £140 all in aslong as it not being Merc/BMW/Audi

Depends on if its a major or minor service.

My local ford palce has a standard price for all fords (except STs and Transits) of £145 inc VAT for minor and £210 inc VAT for major.

Price for the MOT sounds about right. If its a major service its a good deal, just make sure he's using genuine parts. If its a minor service, you can get it cheaper at a main dealer so not a good deal
