Hi guys, just a quick one

Just reformatted and reinstalled windows,

i let it update fully overnight, and restarted a few times, and installed further updates.

Vista is saying its fully updates, but is not showing as vista with SP1 on my computer.

is this normal, do i ahve to do anything else?
 
Check optional updates. SP1 does not appear if there is a imcompatible driver or application installed on your PC. Compatible drivers should be posted but will appear as an optional update which you have to choose to install.

You can install the updated manually as per links above, but it might be wise to make sure you're up to date first as theres good reasons why SP1 doesn't appear automatically.
 
Do a search for:-

System Update Readiness Tool for Windows Vista [August 2008]

this has saved my bacon a couple of times if you have problems installing SP1
