Service stops \\192... Or \\cube

So when I setup windows I followed a few guides for tweaking.

One of the services I must have disabled stop me navigating to my nas.
So if I \\192.168.1.5 or \\cube it just replies no permissions.

But permissions are not needed or if they are it's not giving me the option to enter them.

I can access the same share via my laptop.

Just wondering if anyone knows off the top of their heads what the service I require is?

*Edit* It could be Network Discovery needs turning on:

These are the services associated with it, if it doesnt let you turn it on:

Few things you may try to make sure that the Network Discovery is always turned on:
** Click start type in Services.msc >> Hit Enter.
** In Services Window check if the following services are set to “Started” and”Automatic”

- DNS Client service “Started” and on “Automatic”
- SSDP Discovery service “Started” and on “Automatic”
- UPnP Device Host service “Started” and on “Automatic”
- Function Discovery Resource Publication service “Started” and on “Automatic”
- TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper service “Started” and on “Automatic”

** Then try to turn on the Network Discovery and check if it stays on.

I think it was blackvipers guide.
And I'm thinking it's my UNC that's the issue.

If I'm right re-enabling TCP/IP NetBios Helper that needs to be started.
I cannot remember if I did disable it or not.

I'll check as soon as I'm home
 
I'd suggest reversing every step you took from the "guide" - else you'll likely keep running into these odd issues every now and then, and you won't be able to figure out why.

Windows is very good at keeping itself sorted - it's been good since 2000, and has got excellent in Vista/7, these "guides" really aren't needed.
 
I can confirm that the TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper was what was causing me an issue.
I can now successfully login to that server...
