Servicing & Maintenance costs

Looking for some advice on how much I should expect to pay annually on servicing and general maintenance (assuming the car has no faults) for the following class of cars:

- BMW 3 series (6cyl petrol)
- Audi A6 (6cyl petrol)
- Volvo V70/60 (6cyl petrol)

I will do mostly in town driving and my workplace is only 2 miles away, but if this is harmful to the car I can use it as an excuse to visit family on a more regular basis on weekends (150 miles away). I plan on getting a smaller tiny car for work later on.

Realistically how much should expect to pay every year for cars like the above? I don't intend to buy a car if I can't take care of it properly.

This rather depends on what you are spending.

With a budget of £30,000 for example you can buy a 3 Series which will require zero expenditure on either servicing or maintenance per year. With a budget of £3000 you can buy a 3 Series which will require potentially £1000+ on servicing or maintenance per year...

Lets say I'm spending £12k - £15k on one of the above cars that has done around 50k miles and it doesn't have any faults.
