Set up new iPhone without fingerprint

Hi.

We've got my stepson a new phone for Xmas.

I'd like set it up so it's just working out of the box (new contract and will use my email temporarily for appleid).

Can you set them up and skip the fingerprint ID? I've done m iPad and iPhone recently but can't remember.

Yes, just choose the option to not setup TouchID. You can set it up as fresh without an AppleID too.
