Seti@Home - a message for Spie

Hi Spie

I am part of the OcUk SETI Team and I was wondering why it is that you list the team as International.
I am always trying to recruit new members and when I point out that we are the best UK team people dont believe me.
Case in point a recent post I made on the seti@home forum

Now if someone looks at the UK team rankings they will not find a mention of us which is a frustration for myself and I dare say the team.

We should be at the top of that list, would it be possible to change the teams status from international to national please.

I always thought this was automatic because we have some members from ireland, stateside and singapore!
But I've never managed a team, so I wouldn't know.

No, its set manually. And those people you mention are prob ex-pats but not sure as they are either inactive or non posters.

Anyway, it looks like this is a non starter, shame really as I know it would help with recruitment.

I dont understand Spie's reasoning for this because if we showed up in the UK team stats he might get some sales out of it as well - he aint going to sell anything to someone in the states.

As I got no reply I dont know.
