My windows died yesterday and unfortunatly I had to reinstall windows from scratch but I managed to save my boinc/seti data folder, now when i reinstall boinc and seti, will i be able to just copy over the projects from my last install into the new folder on my new install?

Hi eggcup best get a second opinion but when its happenned to me at the point where your installing Boinc at the part where it is about to connect just copy your Boinc data folder back and replace the new one, fire her up and should be ok 
There's no reason it shouldn't work assuming that nothing got borked when windows did. Worst case scenario is you try and fail but I don’t think you'll have any problems. Just make sure you've unplugged you net connection until your sure its ok to stop it reporting if anything should go wrong.
