Our RAC has jumped up markedly over the last week, rising by nearly 27,000! As a result, for the first time in a long time (and possibly since I've been doing the news), we have no teams on our tail! Keep it up folks :D

Also, a special mention to ReaVerUK, whose output has shot up by an alarming amount since last week and now tops the weekly dumpage list by a long, long way - what on earth are you being fed sah?

Welcome to the new members, and as always congrats to the tiffy winners! Don't forget that you can get your tiffies from www.teamocuk.co.uk; simply click on your username, scroll to the bottom of the page and use the relevant urls to display them in all their Technicolor beauty on this forum! If you think you have been missed off the milestones list, please let me know and I’ll add you manually.

It's no good.......

I can't just sit idly by and watch these upstarts (a'hem) pass me by.

I'm used to being up in the top two or three........now I'm down to fifth.

And Reaver (what can I say).......how can I compete with three GTX295's in ONE rig? (Congrat's by the way).

Sweating.....tremblling......must resist.....ooops.....too late.

The deed has been done........the cards have been bought (eta 27/04/10).......the gauntlet was thrown.....and now it shall return.

Let the games begin.

:D

Being Fed :confused: I can't afford food i'm saving up for the expected leccy bill.

:D

Awww come on at least give me a little time at the top  Resists temptation i ain't doing anything stupid until i know how much it's costing in leccy. Was hoping to shut down the Q6600 rig when it's cleared it cache but i suppose if you've challanged it would be rude not to keep it going flat out :p ;) atleast for the time being.

Do we get any ideas if you've already bought ;)

On a side note was looking at the recent average figures for the UK and 5/6 of our team are in the top 15 in the country. Would be 6/6 but br83taylor isn't based in the UK :D

I thought about 3 of those rather than 2 more 295's but wasn't 100% sure if they acted as individual cards for Boinc or not. Do you have any conclusive info on that?

I would imagine that it would be the same as a Dual GPU Card but without the internal sli bridge.

Therefore, with the use all GPU workaround we should be good to go.

However, I shall confirm on Wednesday.

But for now nothing conclusive.

:eek: Oh my this is getting interesting, i wish i had gone for 295's too but the availability is a bit poo pants so its 285's for me.
I've worked out the elctric for my 3 rigs its gone from an average of £1.37 a day to £2.40 but i wouldnt know what your 295's are consuming Reaver.
I do hunt the net but if someone spots any 295's please feel free to pass me the nod:D
Loudbob i wish you well with your new cards the price does not seem to bad.
Can i ask as i am not 100% upto scratch, with a dedicated physics card would it match 285 for output as looking at the cards you have bought they have 1200mb as opposed to my 285's single gpu and 1024 mb

I would imagine that the 275 & 250 combi would surpass a 285 as it has 368 CUDA's to play with.

That is of course as long as they play well together.

I think this little project of mine is gonna turn out to be an interesting journey as I will have 2 x GTX275's, 1 x GTX260 & 2 x GTS250's all in the same rig.

I don't really want to know i'll just live in ignorance then when the bill comes in give someone my card to pay it then burn the bill ;).

I initially had problems getting the 3 295's to run together but hopefully you wont have any issues.

What operating system are you running?

Hmmmm............now you have just raised a doubt in my mind.

Ponders........as the 250's are physx will they be recognised?

And wonders if a new power supply will be requried........

Well, will find out on tuesday/wednesday, so no point worrying about it now :D

XP64 on that rig as i couldn't be bothered getting it to work with 7 seen as it is a purely crunching rig.

The problems i had were probly due to never having a multi gpu rig before. The most annoying was no POST screen showing until i disabled all other screens which isn't an issue with XP as you don't need dummy plugs but if the same problem exists with vista onwards it could be problamatic.

I've just built a triple boot disk with Win7-64, Vista-64 and XP-64, to find out what is the best, read some awesomely awful threads on the nvidia forums about people trying to enumerate more than 4 GPU's in Vista and Win7.. so thought I'd better play it safe and work out whats best for my rig.

Still on the P6T7 at the moment, but got the ASrock back from RMA so am sorely tempted to try it out again.

Probably best to get it stable on the P6T7 and then try on the Asrock or if I can't get it stable on the P6T7 then switch over.

Oh decisions, and all before the wife divorces me :p
