Today's news is brought to you by the websites All Project Stats and BOINCstats.

Run SETI on a GPU? Add your SETI username to this thread to be included in future news posts as a GPU user. Also add your name to the same thread if you’ve stopped running the GPU client so I can take you off the list.

From this week onwards I've decided to add two top twenty team lists to the news, ordered by total credit and RAC. This is something that I feel has been missing from the news right from the beginning and should hopefully help everyone to see just how we're doing as a team when compared to those around us.

Our RAC broke the 400,000 mark this week for the first time since the gauntlet - and for the first time ever during a non-competition period! Keep it up folks, as we're now also only 50 days away from our first team stomp since March 2009 :D. Not that I keep any records or anything...

A special mention to Burlsey, who went past 20,000,000 cobblies this week

Welcome to the new members, and as always congrats to the tiffy winners! Don’t forget that you can get your tiffies from www.teamocuk.co.uk; simply click on your username, scroll to the bottom of the page and use the relevant urls to display them in all their Technicolor beauty on this forum! If you think you have been missed off the milestones list, please let me know and I’ll add you manually.

I apologise for the low production, but I was away a large part of the week, and when I got back only one machine was running. And I'm still waiting for the Asus Vapourware 480 to appear.

Thanks for the news Tross :)

My box's have started to settle down and my output is creeping up as a result.

I hope to acheive 19 to 20k/day until my last pc comes to life in 4 to 8 weeks.

No bad news from the halz camp for once :D

Need the Planetary Stomp bad :D

Recovering from lack of sleep and installing windows xp on 2 machines, tried to do a dual boot needless to say it got very complicated and opted for single boot, machines up and running ok and an increase in output. Glad to hear all is going ok on your end Mr Halz sah, tonights stats should be interesting :D
Big thanks to Edgedemon for helping me out on the transition :D:D

checking the website I've like 25 with "Completed, validation inconclusive" and PENDING
what does this mean?

I've also an astropulse WU that I didn't ask for! seems to be about 67% done with 18 hours taken but says over 100hours to go???!?!

Hi

Validation inconclusive just means that you results haven't been reported by anyone else yet. Each unit is sent out to multiple users and has to be reported and confirmed by several (not sure how many) of those users before anyone gets any credit to ensure that the results are accurate.

The astropulse unit is set to get automatically. If you don't want them login to your account at http://setiathome.berkeley.edu and under 'SETI@home Preferances' deselect both of the related tabs. The units do take a long time (mine averaged 24-26Hrs when not using optimized) but i wouldn't worry about boincs guess at time remaining as it never gets it right just guesstimate it yourself based on % done and time taken.

FYI Astropulse units give Berkeley and science in general more useful data to play with its not just looking for the elusive signal it will pick up lots of other useful info about the universe http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ap_info.php. Apparently from what i've read you get the same number of credits based on the time taken as for normal WU's so its a win win situation but you may want to check on that yourself if your just after credits ;)

Tonights stats should be interesting :D

I agree, tonights stats should be interesting.

I've got wee rig running 24/7 and big rig is running about 75% (giving me time to do other stuff).

So I will be very interested on what my output will settle at.

On the down side - I have been unable to incorparate the GTX260 in the big rig (exhausted every avenue).

So, I now have a GTX260 all boxed up ready to move to a new home. Just trying to decide if the new home will be found on the bay.

Tut Tut poor gtx260 perhaps it needs a new home at camp TBag :D
Glad your rigs are all up and sorted, i am going to wait a week to see what average settles at and i might be able to retire/claim back for myself the q6600 and start on something in prep for the 480's.
Am watching with interest to see what your hybrids come up with, looking good so far well done Sah :D
Mr Halz are you injecting nitro into your pc your average just keeps climbing....nice one :D
