Highest world rank on: Thursday, 27th January 2005 (ranked 1st)

We have an enormous team base and some dedicated regular crunchers 143 active members whose work is much appreciated by all.

I guess this could be classed as a "call to arms", i know many of you have time consuming commitments but would respectfully ask those of you who can to go that extra mile for what is "The Worlds Finest Team".

What would you give to see those heady days of January 2005? Although i was not around then i would be happy to stay around to see if the same team spirit can prevail.

Be active and involved, if every active member posted once a week with a "howdydoo" or the like am sure the ranks will swell along with the team pride.

If we can stomp Team China who have a userbase of 8,772 and 1,390 active members against our own 1,190 and 143 active members i see no reason for us to climb a lot higher than where we are now!

Amazing tiffiness out there this week congratulations guys work units well crunched, Mr Reaver and his towering 20 million along with Mr Marine on 6 million and Mr pnutty 14 million well done guys!:D

Big thanks to everyone for their efforts we couldn't do it without you and a warm welcome to our newest team member David91 , as per normal any mistakes give me a slap and i will correct asap.

Seems a shame that Einstein/Milyway and the other projects don't have there own news. Will do a combined news for the "other" projects for next week, now its upto you to tell me what projects/format/ info to include as you know i is thick so will listen out for your idea's :)

Due to funding problems the Allen Radio Telescope Array has been put into a state of hibernation, don't panic and back to work :)

Thanks to Mr Biffa for the q&a link

OK, my 1200W PSU is now installed in machine #1 ("Charon" for those who care about such things). My new testing regime consists of putting the second GTX480 back in it and then going for it. If it survives a week without rebooting I'll try cranking the CPU back up again.

Thanks for the news Tbag :)

Hmm warm in here 101°c on the 470  :D Better open the window :p

 Your welcome Mr Marine sah,101 degrees hmmm instant barbecue quick throw on a burger :D
Before you say it....yes i did and yes it went well! Nothing incinerated and all was stable but it was only a test no intention of running it 24-7 ;):)

Well here's hoping "Charon" does the honours for you and all is back to normal quicketty quick.
My output last few days has been poor to say the least, wether its just me or bad luck i am not sure. Seems both the gtx 580 absolutely detest the 270.51 and 270.61 drivers forever clocking down, very unpredictable so gone back to 266.58 and working a treat output is climbing finally :)

Yeah i know, cpu-z next time i just wanted to boot at 5.8 then grab the snip and downclock asap no point in tempting providence to much lol. Must admit it was kind of exciting, and exceedingly stupid but i have been reading up on volts n vids droop and all that mallarky for future refference muhhhaaaahhaaahaaaaa :)

Either I have upset Toxic or I have a problem. The stats show I dumped zero all week. I think I did 7k ish. I have had a look at my end and all appears OK (in the right team, no setting been played with in months, teamocuk.co.uk is picking me up OK in the team), so any ideas why I'm missing from the dumpage list? Where do you get your stats from?

Thank you for the news Mr Tbag!

I know what you mean about about the other projects having there own news, but it's a lot of work for one person.

I was considering putting together a monthly "Earth Sciences Division" news, for Rosetta, CPDN, WCG and GPU grid to try to generate a bit more interest in those projects, I don't know how popular that would be though as most of the folk on here are quite into there space stuff :p

I know halz does a Einstein and Milkyway news every now and then, maybe you could combine in to a "Space Sciences Division" news?

Or we could all pitch in and create a "Boinc" news? Whatever way I'm happy to help out :)

Again am very sorry and "me swears" it'll not happen again :o :(

Some good points there Mr dekez, i don't mind doing whatnot as i will have a lot of free time over the next few months. Let's see what evryone else thinks as well, Folding and Seti do generate some fearsome loyalty so we would be looking at keeping there respective seperate weekly news.

Might be an idea to think of some kind of template or something we could pass back and forward if one person has a week or 2 off then the other could fill in.
Mmmmm lots to think about, am sure Mr Halz would not mind if we created a regular news feature as Einstein and Milkyway do deserve it and they are allways my personal choice 2 and 3 :)

No sweat - I'm still thankful for you for doing the news each week.

have returned from a weeks slacking to find the expected smoking wreck, couple of thousand computation errors, cpu downclocked itself etc:mad:, but at least it managed to limp over the line for this..:)
