Seti not requesting GPU work

Since the servers have come back up I noticed the machine is requesting (and got a few) CPU work units but it is not requesting GPU work.

The messages shows

16-Jun-2010 22:31:04 [---] NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce GTX 275 (driver version 25721, CUDA version 3010, compute capability 1.3, 896MB, 701 GFLOPS peak)
16-Jun-2010 22:31:04 [SETI@home] Found app_info.xml; using anonymous platform

when Boinc is started. The cudart.dll (or whatever it's called) exists in the boinc program files folder. Any ideas how I can kick in to at least requesting them?

I have the 257.21 display drivers installed and we're running on XP.

TIA

That looks fine, when I briefly ran Seti this morning it didn't get one GPU task, server was saying there were no tasks :(

The messages in Boinc don't show that the system is requesting any GPU work, unless I ask I don't expect to get. I can see messages requesting CPU work.

Check your options in Boinc manager, you might have it set not to use gpu. You can also snooze gpu from right clicking on the Seti manager icon, may have done that by mistake?

It shouldn't be the preference in Boinc manager as I set that to use GPU even if the PC is in use, just checked the right click on the icon and that's not checked :(

Any more ideas? Are there any checks I can do to ensure the Cuda files are present and correct? I'm using Lunatics optimized clients if that may make a difference.

No gpu work coming down here either so I convert the cpu work to gpu work with rescheduler.
Have it set on automatic so it runs every 4 hours, now I have loads of gpu work :)

The excerpt from the log file you posted is showing that the card is recognized and there so there is nothing wrong there.

Can you post a larger section of the log file?

Here is the complete startup sequence, there is no mention of GPU in the rest of the file.

This was from yesterday and because it was not requesting GPU work I changed the local pref to use GPU always. I've just restarted BOINC and will check for differences but I don't expect any as the above was after a restart as it wasn't asking before for GPU work and I wondered then if it had got confused.

Oh dear, I hope it's not me the aliens use as a benchmark for average human intelligence as I fall well short.

Code:
P - Problem
I - in
C - chair
N - not
I - in
C - Computer

Why are they still producing Win98 versions of the Lunatics apps so idiots like me can download the wrong one :o Hopefully now I've got the Win32 one it may work better.

This is what I'm getting
18/06/2010 10:32:35 SETI@home Requesting new tasks for GPU

18/06/2010 11:55:39 SETI@home Message from server: (reached daily quota of 143 tasks)
No GPU work:( no recent CPU work either due to one WU sending the completion time up to 15 hours+ So how do I get to exceed my daily quota when no work sent:confused::confused:
Obviously some thing wrong at B0rkeley & a glitch in the server upgrade.
Time will tell. I don't think it's your setting Picnic.

Does sound different, mine was caused by me installing the wrong version of Lunatics app. Just checked again and one Cuda task in progress but still only one in the queue. Only about 15 CPU tasks queued as well. That'll all get exhausted mighty quickly when B0rkley goes down again at the weekend.
