whilst its true its not the same as it once was. i think the huge range in cpu's and their potential max RAC has effected things somewhat. one overclocked quad is probably equal to the output of 10 normal (eg old p4 or althon) rigs. and there are plenty of people still running and contributing with older hardware.

True that a quad is a much faster rig than my old XP3200's but other folks will have upgraded too;)

Mark, doaa, Gandalf and siofwolves have been stomped, ezy50, azam, JJD and Michael atwood are next as I climb past the 200 mark, assuming that the Borkeley servers let me have any work :(

no probs for the help, we need all the points we can get to help us avoid dropping much further so i hope you can stick around to get plenty more tiffies.

my RAC has fallen due to my machines being packed up and being transported to my new home, however on the plus side i have a new core2duo machine at my new office to borg. so might be able to aim for around 5000 once all the machines are back running.

Ive just set my q6600 @ 2.7 to use the optimization..... Should mine now go upto the 3000's now? before it had been averaging 1500 but slowly climbing, does it take time to build up???
 
Mine has take about a month to top out, I'm on 3250 ish with a Q6600 at 2.7Ghz with the optimised client, same as yours :D
