Jesus people there is no need to act rudely and immaturely just because someone doesn't quite understand something properly.
Quite a few people have wrongly said the same thing about many titles on both consoles which say 1080i and 1080p on the back of the case. This simply means the console will output the game at said resolution. It does not mean the game is rendered at that resolution.
Consoles are not like PCs where you can change the resolution of the game and so it looks better. Games are rendered in a fixed resolution. If this resolution is different to what the console is outputting then it is upscaled or downscaled accordingly - the image it basically stretched or squashed so it fits. Halo 3, for example, is rendered at 1152x640 and Mass Effect is rendered at 1280x720 (full 720p). If you are playing on a normal SD TV they will be downscaled to 768x576. Play at 1080p and it will be upscaled to 1920x1080 and so on.
Hope that clears it up for you
