Setting affinity for processes before they have started

Is there any way (I'm sure there must be) that I can specify a number of processes which when run, will run on one core?
I know I can do it manually for a process which is already running, but can it be set so if the process is stopped and restarted, it will remember that affinity?

Cheers

Thanks for that, but I saw that earlier and that only seems to cover dual core.
I need to be able to set the affinity to only two of the 8 cores in a quad xeon system.
